What's Your Custom Postage Style?

Assembling your wedding invitations is one of the most exciting tasks a bride and groom get to do together, and now it’s gotten a little bit more fun. The post office currently offers only two types of Love Stamps, your choice of pink or purple, which are likely to clash with your beautiful red, sage green or orange invitations. Now with custom postage you can choose from many more designs, or even design your own postage stamps. Since we’re in a world of personalized wedding planning, it just makes sense to look at your postage stamps as a fresh, new way to put your own stamp on your invitations and response cards.

With Mountaincow’s StationeryStamps™, you become the designer of your own postage images, color and design. You can e-mail your own digital photo and become the star of your stamp with your engagement photo, or you can choose from dozens of Mountaincow’s chic and trendy stock images (such as autumn leaves, bamboo, daisy, orchid, palm tree, cherry blossom, snowflake, and more) to coordinate with your invitation design. You can also send in any digital image that you like for the creation of your own custom stamps.

If you’ve designed your invitation to feature your monogram, you can match or complement the monogram on the invitation by creating one for your postage stamps as well. If you were ‘stuck’ between two styles of monogram, you can use one on the invitation and the other on the postage stamps! Choose from 17 different monogram styles -- such as circular, diamond-shape or traditional square – and then choose a color scheme to match your invitation design. Would you like traditional, classic black and white? Or would you like your postage stamps to ‘pop’ with the same bright colors you used on your invitation, such as aqua and white, or chocolate and blue?

Mountaincow has thought of everything you could possibly need to design stamps to match your invitations and envelopes, including offering stamps in white, ecru and ivory, in small and large sizes. And they’ve also taken into consideration the fact that invitations can be designed in different shapes and weights that require extra postage amounts. You’ll need a standard first-class stamp for the response envelope, but an invitation packed with inserts and maps could push the weight for the invitation envelope above a standard first-class stamp. No problem! Mountaincow gives you the choice of postage fees to print onto a single stamp, something the post office doesn’t do.  No more mismatched stamps! You can coordinate your stamps for the smallest to the largest mailings (such as itinerary folders sent to your bridal party and guests).

Since brides and grooms approach their wedding postage and invitation compilation just a few weeks before the wedding, time is of the essence and stress is building. So it’s another plus that your custom StationeryStamps™ are printed and shipped 3-5 business days from your order date. Worried about how it will look? For just $2, you can get a PDF proof sent to you before you place your final order. Depending on your choices, a sheet of 20 stamps ranges from $9.99 to $14.99 plus the cost of the postage.

This fun task has just entered a new world of personalization, and couples love sharing the design and style choices together. The postage stamp may be a small detail, but it makes a big impact when guests receive your lovely invitations in the mail. And here’s a fun FYI: wedding couples are framing their invitations as keepsakes, and the personalized stamp gets immortalized and shared with future generations. It is, after all, your own personal work of art.
