Be mine
Valentine’s Day isn’t just for lovers – it’s a fun opportunity to let anyone who is important to you know that you’re thinking of them. Whether you’re planning to send cards out to old friends or fill your child’s backpack with notes for classmates, our sweet little cards will help you spread the love. All our designs use the Inner Envelope feature to print just the recipient’s name on the front of the envelope. If you’re planning to send your Valentines, just create an Addressed envelope and you’re set.
Our PrintingPress design features a spray of hearts atop a White Scalloped 4-bar card. We added the greeting “Happy Valentine’s Day” in the Girls are Weird font from the Easy Invitations Bonus Content CD. We added a single heart above the Valentine giver’s name to sign it with love. Slip it into the Pink Lemonade 4-bar envelope and it’s ready to go.
A field of red, pink, green and orange hearts fills the background of our Platinum design. We added an oval to the center of the background image to clear the way for a Valentine message. We used a floating text box to add the note “be my valentine” to the front of the White 4-bar folded note card in red using the Charlotte font from Fonts & Graphics 3. Because the design goes all the way to the edge of the card, we used our printer’s borderless printing feature. Paired with a Deep Red 4-bar envelope, it’s too cute for words.
If you’re feeling a bit preppy, try our PrintingPress Extreme 4.0 design. We created a new red and pink heart argyle pattern and filled the front of a White 4-bar folded note card with the pattern. For tips on using this new pattern in other projects, check out this month’s Extreme Tip. We used a floating text box to add the greeting “Happy Valentine’s Day!” in red using the Girls are Weird font from the Easy Invitations Bonus Content CD to the front of the card. We turned off the Make White Transparent setting on the text box so that the text box’s white background would remain opaque. Next we added a custom border and set the border’s shape to Oval. We added a 2 pixel outline using the red from the argyle pattern, and then added a 8 pixel pink inner pen using the Bumps line type. We set the fill color to white and set the fill width to 0.2 inches to separate the pink and red lines. Since the argyle goes all the way to the edge of the card, we printed the card using our printer’s borderless printing feature. Slip the card into a Blush 4-bar envelope and you’re set.
Although all of our designs are intended for hand delivery, we have created coordinating StationeryStamps with the heart images. So if you’re planning to send some love via the postal service, make sure to add the extra touch outside the envelope as well.

Say it with style
One of the most fun things about using PrintingPress Extreme 4.0 is that you can whip up new personalized stationery for yourself or friends at a moment’s notice. Sending a package? No problem. Print out a sassy note card to tuck inside the box. With PrintingPress Extreme 4.0, the possibilities are endless.
Our design features a brown loopy line decorated with a pink flower and aqua dots. We used a floating text box to add the name in magenta using the Girls are Weird font from the Easy Invitations Bonus Content CD. We set the text box’s shape to Quarter Circle and set the horizontal alignment to Left. Next werotated the text box 44 degrees to the right to align the name atop the top swoop of the line. We used the same design on the bottom of the White A7 flat card and on the front of the White A2 folded note card. Both cards use Magenta envelopes. To really complete the look, add our sassy flower (brown, pink, orange and aqua) StationeryStamps.

Baby of mine
If you’re finding yourself busy changing diapers and warming bottles, you’ve already got your hands full. Still, you must send fabulous birth announcements to let the world know all about your new arrival. No problem! Our adorable designs are ready for you to download, just add your little one’s info, print and send!
Our PrintingPress project features a layered design using Midnight and Avocado stationery. We used a 3.75 x 5 inch custom cut Avocado card and added the baby’s initial in blue at the top of the card using the Ryan font from Fonts & Graphics 3. We added the initial at 72 points, and then reduced the point size to 20 points to type the baby’s first and middle names. We then reduced the point size again to add the baby’s stats and the proud parents’ names to the bottom of the card. We used a double-stick tape gun to adhere the Avocado card to a Midnight Scalloped flat card. We lined the Midnight A2 envelope in Avocado for an elegant touch. To order the stationery for this project, first order A2 Envelopes and Scalloped Flat Cards in Midnight Sky, then add 3.75 x 5 inch custom cut card stock in Avocado. Coordinate with metropolitan junior Monogrammed StationeryStamps in white on willow with just one lower case initial entered in the Middle initial field.
For a modern look, try our PrintingPress Platinum design. We added a bold block of orange to the top of the White A2 flat card. We typed the word “baby” in white using the Ryan font from Fonts & Graphics 3 at the bottom right corner of the orange square. We added the baby’s name and stats in blue using the Benjamin Caps font from Fonts & Graphics for Weddings centered at the bottom of the card. Paired with a Dusty Blue envelope, it’s perfect to announce a baby boy. Use the Paint program that ships with Windows to create a pink or purple square to use this design for a baby girl. Send with one of our new baby (orange) StationeryStamps so everyone knows what’s inside. We’ve created them in a variety of colors to coordinate with any color scheme.
If you’ve mastered your digital camera and have photos of your gorgeous bundle of joy, try our PrintingPress Extreme 4.0 design. We added a black and white photo one third of the way down from the top of a White 4 x 6 inch custom cut flat card. We added a custom border to the photo with a brown outer and inner pen set to 3 points with the line type set to Dotted (overlapping fill). We set the fill color to white and set the fill width to 0.05 inches to separate the two dotted lines. Next we added a shape object behind the main text area on the card. For information on the different layers in your stationery, review the Extreme Tip from the June 2006 issue of the Mountaincow Monthly. We set the shape’s color to light blue and left the shape as a rectangle. We added the same dotted border to the shape that we added to the photo, but we made the shape wider than the card so that the left and right edges of the border are not visible. We set the height of the shape to 4.5 inches and positioned the shape so that the top is in the middle of the photo and the bottom of the shape is below the bottom of the card. We added the information in the main text area of the card using the Times New Roman font in brown. We increased the character spacing for an airy look. Since the blue bleeds all the way to the edge of the card, we used our printer’s borderless printing feature to print the card. Then we used a double-stick tape gun to adhere the card to a Chocolate A7 card. Send in a Chocolate A7 envelope lined in Powder Blue. To order the stationery for this project, first order A7 Envelopes and Flat Cards in Double Chocolate, then add 4 x 6 custom cut card stock in White. Complete the look with Custom Image StationeryStamps using your baby’s photo.

Wedding bells
When you plan your wedding, every detail is important. Making your own invitations gives you total control over the design, and it can be a fun way to bond with your fiancé or spend some extra time with your bridesmaids. Our new Pocket Folders and Pochettes allow you to create beautiful layered invitations using your own custom color combinations. We recommend using a double-stick tape gun to adhere the mounted layers.
Our PrintingPress design creates a streamlined, modern look using our new Complete Pocket Folder Invitation Set, in the A7 Portrait (rounded point flap) size. We added a simple image of dotted circles in avocado to the top left and bottom right of the Ecru invitation card. We added the invitation details in brown and the bride and groom’s names in green, all using the Times New Roman font. We mounted the invitation to a Chocolate backing card and then mounted the pair to the Avocado Pocket Folder. We added the same dotty circle to the top of the Ecru directions enclosure card, and again on the top right of the Ecru response card. We slid the cards, along with the Chocolate 4-bar response envelope, into the pocket. Send it in a Chocolate A7 envelope lined in Avocado and add Ivory Custom Image StationeryStamps with the bride and groom’s names and the wedding date beneath a dotty circle.
For an elegant affair, try our PrintingPress Platinum design, featuring our new Complete Pochette Invitation Set in the Square (curved flap) size. We added an image of a feather plume in avocado beneath the main text area of the Ivory invitation card. We added the bride & groom’s names in brown using the Alyssa font from Fonts & Graphics for Weddings and connected the two with an avocado ampersand floating behind the names in a floating text box. We used another floating text box to add the invitation text so that we could expand the horizontal and vertical character spacing. We centered the text in the text box and used the Benjamin Caps font from Fonts & Graphics for Weddings in brown. We mounted the invitation card onto the Avocado backing card and then adhered the set to the Metallic Chocolate Pochette. We added the avocado plume to the Ivory directions enclosure card and the Ivory response card. We added Ivory Custom Image StationeryStamps with the couple’s names and wedding date beneath the avocado plume to both the Avocado Square and 4-bar response envelopes lined in Ivory.
For a bright, colorful invitation, check out our PrintingPress Extreme 4.0 design. We began with a White 3.5 x 5.5 inch custom cut card. We added the bride and groom’s names in green using the Alyssa Afternoon font from Fonts & Graphics for Weddings to the upper left corner of the card. Next we added the wedding information in orange using the Benjamin Strong font from Fonts & Graphics 2 and scattered orange and twilight butterfly images across the invitation. We adhered the card to a custom cut 3.75 x 5.75 inch Metallic Midnight card. Next we printed a butterfly pattern all the way to the edge of a White A7 flat card using our printer’s borderless printing setting. For tips on using this pattern in other projects, see this month’s Extreme Tip. We mounted the white and blue cards to the butterfly card, then mounted the set onto a Metallic Mandarin Orange A8 Landscape (pointed flap) Pocket Folder. We used the same fonts on the White 5 x 7 directions enclosure card and the White 3.5 x 5 response card and scattered butterfly images across those cards as well. We tucked the directions and response card into the pocket along with the Metallic Midnight 4-bar response envelope. We printed more butterflies along with the addresses on the White A8 envelope, and added Custom Image StationeryStamps with the couple’s names and wedding date along with a few more butterflies.
